12 and 24 Month Instructor Curriculum
Over the last decade, the growth and popularity of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has grown at an incredible rate and the demand for highly qualified Jiu-Jitsu instructors has never been higher. Ryan Deichert, in conjunction with Balance Studios, is now offering a comprehensive Jiu-Jitsu teacher training program to help meet the demand.
We are looking for serious candidates that want to teach, run, or operate a Jiu Jitsu school. No experience required.
Fundamentals and Techniques
Ryan Deichert has been practicing and teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 25 years. Ryan spent 6 years training at the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy Instructor program in Torrance, CA where he learned from Grand Master Helio Gracie, Rorian Gracie and Royce Gracie. You will learn Jiu-Jitsu techniques and be able to teach, correct and refine your student’s movements, so their technique executed properly.
Class Lesson Plans
After learning individual techniques, you’ll learn how to combine them into series of lesson plans. You’ll have different lesson plans set up, so your weeks will be planned out. This will ensure your classes never become dull or routine and student’s growth and progression will be optimal.
You will be guided to learn the most effective ways to train safely. Prospective teachers will participate in our drilling and sparring program.
Managing Kid and Adult Classes
Being a Jiu-Jitsu instructor is more than being a great Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. Every student that you encounter will learn in a different way and you’ll need to adapt and learn how to adjust your instruction to meet their needs. In our Jiu-Jitsu teacher training program, you’ll learn how to teach younger kids, teenagers and adults. You’ll also learn how to modify classes and techniques based individual’s needs and capabilities.
Jiu-Jitsu and Team Balance Etiquette and Training Environment
Part of the Jiu-Jitsu teacher training program includes Jiu-Jitsu etiquette. We teach you why it is important and how to build the right culture in your school.
Business Management & Marketing Strategies
The Jiu-Jitsu teacher training program will teach you how to run the business side of your Jiu-Jitsu school and provide you marketing strategies that build your student base and keep attrition low.
